The buck stops here
Noode is the brainchild of Johnny Reed, who makes his return to the Leeds nightlife scene after having managed some of the cities favourite destinations when they were at the top of their game. Noode is his first owned project. Though he may look stressed or sleepy most of the time, he’s really a nice guy so if you see him say hi.
If you look upwards, you’ll probably see Sam Potter, Johnny’s business partner. Despite being about 8 feet tall, Sam is riding firmly on Johnny’s coat tails. He is generally to be found hiding in the office or pretty much making it up as he goes along, so if he looks confused please offer to help.
Food
Venues across the city are crying out for chefs of Marc Thomas’ calibre, and he chose to come and join Noode as our Head Chef. Having gained extensive experience in some of Leeds’ leading restaurants, Marc’s reputation is second to none. He is responsible for the development of our entire menu.
Marc is backed up by Sam Rom and Jon Bird, who would both argue they’re every bit as good as Marc. It causes arguments, but makes for terrific food and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
Drink
One day, whilst Sam and Johnny were pondering the Noode cocktail menu, a bright-eyed chancer spotted his opportunity to make a fast buck by designing our drinks menu for us.He’s been with us ever since, a bit like a stray dog, and try as we might we cant get rid of him. Blake Walker has experience in numerous reputable bars; he has now created and manages Noode’s entire drink offering and bar. With the help of Stave Walpole and Stuart ‘Gerrard’ Barnet, Noode is producing some of the best cocktails the city has to offer.
The Team
A blend of experience and passion means we can probably boast the best service in the city, and if we’re wrong we’ll eat our hats. Best of all, they’re all characters – we don’t prescribe standard greetings or pre-prepared speeches for our staff to use, we simply ask them to make sure our customers enjoy themselves. Sian Thody, Amanda Nowicki and Vicky Elmslie make the place what it is. And now you know they’re names you can always complain if they’re rubbish…
